Foraging Robin

American Robins are a common sight in parks and other green spaces in Toronto during warmer months. They always seem busy poking the grass in search of food. I was trying to take a closeup of this activity for the past two weeks. In the absence of powerful telelens, it became quite a challenging task. Finally, I was able to take a few decent snaps with this trusting bird today. Here is the full sequence.

After consuming its lunch, it flew to a nearby treetop. I think I heard it singing something like "You don't have to be an early bird to catch the worm as food is available all day long". No, that certainly was my imagination playing tricks on me.
