Coronation Park

Toronto waterfront is dotted with beautiful parks from one end to the other. Coronation Park with its old-growth trees, lake vistas, and Victory Peace Monument is one of the best among the lot.

King's Oak
Park was built to honor the coronation of King George VI in 1937. Trees were planted around a central Oak representing the King and colonies of the United Kingdom at that time. This inner grouping is called the 'Empire Circle'.

Other tree groupings represent various branches of Candian armed forces and honor the Canadian war veterans.

Feisty squirrels are everywhere and add to the charm of this park.

Lakefront and a raft of ducks rafting on a makeshift raft.
