You must have seen the rock balancing pictures before, the stones balanced at improper and seemingly gravity-defying angles. But the images can't do justice to this delicate and ephemeral art. A live performance is something very different and touching. The finished structures may appear like some kind of trick but the stones are just obeying the simple laws of physics. The artist is merely employing its knowledge of balance and counter-balance, the center of mass,  fraction, angles and equilibrium.

The artist struggles with the stones for a very long time. It requires intense concentration and dedication. At times it appears that he may be just wasting time and he is not going to accomplish anything. Then suddenly he achieves the required balance and the result is pure magic.
