The "Megaptera" sculpture by George Schmerholz near Toronto-Dominion center in the financial district.
"Megaptera Novaeangliae" is the scientific name for Humpback Whales which translates as the "Great winged New Englander". The sculpture is made out of the dark green granite from Rivière-à-Pierre, Quebec and it took two years to complete according to the artist's website.
