Munch Time

Everyone munching together around a bird feeder near Dentonia Park.

Another meeting of the like-minded folks. This one is from May 2021.

Fluffy Cat

Domestic Cats don’t like winter in general. They like to sit inside and remain cozy near fireplaces or heaters. However, this fluffy cat near Dantonia Park does not seems to mind a bit about the cold outside. She is donning her personal, expensive-looking fur coat after all.

Snow Laden Trees

Snow laden trees in the neighborhood after a heavy snowfall the night before.

My Furry Tree Neighbors

I opened the window curtains early in the morning and immediately noticed a flurry of activity on our back-yard tree. It was snowing heavily, but in this freezing atmosphere, a number of squirrels were running and jumping from branch to branch.

There seemed to be some argumentations, few confrontations, and a lot of running after each other. I am not a nosy neighbor but this was too much to miss. I tried to take a few snaps through the window glass which came back mostly blurry.

This whole business went on for quite some time. Then things finally settled and everyone decided to have breakfast in the open (except me, of course).

My furry friends are not high on sharing so I would never know its background. Why don’t they stay inside their cozy tree dreys, and cavity nests on a day like this? They should be munching on nuts that they have been collecting so painstakingly throughout the summer and read books. (o.k. no books for the tree folks yet, that was a wild flight of fantasy but they can definitely share stories, I guess).

All I can say is that my furry tree neighbors are a real weird bunch.
